With its renewed emphasis on local business development, the 2012 Showcase is continuing the Program Executive Officer Breifings. On May 22, program executive officers – high ranking military acquisition officials that oversee the planning and implementation of major defense systems – will speak about their immediate and future purchasing needs with business representatives in attendance. The PEOs will discuss their overall programs, time frames, requirements and where they need extra assistance from industry.

PEOs represent billions of dollars in acquisition funding. Businesses will have face-to-face access to executives who carry out military program acquisition strategies. Attendees will be able to hear first-hand what’s needed, and then ask questions about how to provide their products.
